Dear Friends of Star House,

Thanks to your support, the Star House Drop-in Center has remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 1, 550 individual guests and their small children have had immediate access to safety at a time when many other public spaces were closed. Your support continues to help bring safe respite, food, clothing, showers, health care, therapy and access to other crucial resources to youth experiencing homelessness in Central Ohio.

We are excited to share that Star House recently launched a pilot "Chill-in Station." The Chill-in Station, a traveling, pop-up resource center, offers tented outdoor resources, such as food and nutrition services, on-site mental health care, case management, connection to employment, hygiene services and charging stations. And the best part is that this pop-up concept was designed by former guests of our drop-in center, in partnership with The Columbus Foundation and the d.school of Stanford University. We are grateful to the City of Columbus for supporting this promising new program!

Monetary Donation

Now more than ever, Star House would benefit greatly from discretionary general operating funding to support our day-to-day services for youth. Please consider making a monetary donation. If you would like to see just how far your donation can go towards helping youth experiencing homelessness, please see the infographic below!

Item Donations

We currently accept new items through the mail (please note that we cannot accept in-person drop-off donations until further notice). You can access our Amazon Wishlist below. You can also support Star House youth who have recently moved into a new apartment using the housed-specific list below.

Your donation will go far!
